The work program of Training course for the teachers:
“Game-based learning for teachers and Gamification”
The training course was held in Warsaw, Poland, from 21st to 28th May 2017. In this course six teachers , members of our staff, participated. Namely, these teachers were Sideridis Thanasis, Tsangalidou Froso, Apostolidis Yiannis, Batsari Tessa, Gagaki Katerina and Protiviotou Pepi.
The course was also attended by teachers and staff from all the groups that have been involved in the “ We Play-We Teach-We Learn” program (Romania, Italy, Turkey, Portugal, Spain, Greece and Poland). The aim of the meeting was to show methods and ways in which games can be integrated in an experiential learning process.
The participants attended training courses and workshops. The presentation of various games from different countries (Romania, Italy, Turkey, Portugal, Spain, Greece and Poland) and how these games can improve students’ understanding and knowledge was particularly interesting. The participants visited the Invisible Exhibition where they had a conducted tour by visually- impaired people, they co-operated with students from different schools (the ICDS- Integrated Sport and Didactic Center in Lomianski, and the Educational Centre in Laski), and they visited various museums (Friderik Chopin Museum, Museum of the History of Polish Jews, The Warsaw Rising Museum). All these experiences contributed to the realization of the project.
The sight-seeing tours, the opportunity to taste local cuisine in the centre of the old city, and the Multimedia Fountain Park experience had given the participants a chance to relax and enjoy themselves.
